Study With ME KV is proud to present THRIVE, a Homeschool Enrichment Community designed to support and enhance the homeschooling experience. Originally created to meet the needs of one of our tutors, THRIVE now aims to serve other families across central Maine who seek a hybrid-style approach to homeschooling.

THRIVE exists to enrich the homeschool experience by providing a supportive, engaging environment where K-8 students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We partner with families to supplement their chosen curriculum through collaborative learning, hands-on projects, and individualized support — helping every child thrive in their own unique way.

At THRIVE, we believe that the best learning happens when children feel connected, supported, and valued. Our enrichment program is built on the understanding that every child is unique - and their education should reflect that. We respect that families know their children best and honor the educational choices they've made. By combining hands-on learning, social-emotional growth, and personalized support, we aim to create a positive, engaging experience that complements and enhances each family’s homeschool journey.

All educators at THRIVE are experienced, Maine-certified teachers. Encourage your child to bring in assignments they need help with during our “study hall” time, and we’ll provide support!

THRIVE is a drop-off enrichment program. We operate on Tuesdays and Thursdays, starting at 8:30 and ending at 11:30.

Our program counts toward 67 of the 175 required homeschooling days for the 2025-2026 school year.

Many unit studies at THRIVE will feature topic-related presenters, guests, artifacts, and/or virtual field trips to enrich the learning experience.

Program Details

STUDENTS

THRIVE is open to students in grades K-8. For the 2025-2026 school year, we will be accepting a total of 8 students. We are intentionally keeping our enrollment small in our first year so we can learn and grow with the program before expanding to serve more students in the future.

EDUCATIONAL AREAS

Social Emotional Learning and Community Building

Each morning will begin with a community-building and/or social-emotional learning activity to foster a sense of belonging and encourage positive interactions among students.

Unit Studies with Diverse Focus Areas

The topics for our whole-group unit studies will be influenced by the interests of our students, customized to meet the unique academic needs of each individual.

Independent Work Time

Each day, your child is welcome to bring in work from the curriculum program(s) you use at home to complete during this time, whether it’s something they need additional help with or just some unfinished work. Students can also elect for us to work with them to design an independent study project on a topic of their choice.

Can I visit your facility?

Absolutely! Call us at (207) 485-0013 or email us at kvmestudy@gmail.com to schedule a time to visit.

Are you considered a school/co-op?

No. We provide academic enrichment and support to homeschooling students and families. All students who register with our program must send a letter of intent to the state to be recognized as homeschoolers. Families independently choose and purchase their curriculum, and track student progress for end-of-year reporting.

Do you offer sibling discounts?

Not at this time, but we do plan to offer that discount in the future.

Do I need to provide vaccination records?

No. We are not classified by the state as an entity that is required to mandate vaccinations.

Do you offer other days or times?

We only offer Tuesdays and Thursdays for 2025-2026, but we plan to offer other days and times in the future.

Can my child(ren) attend just one day a week?

Because we are trying to build a community of learners who share common experiences, we only offer the two days/per week tuition option.
