Study With ME KV is proud to present THRIVE, a Homeschool Enrichment Community designed to support and enhance the homeschooling experience. Originally created to meet the needs of one of our tutors, THRIVE now aims to serve other families across central Maine who seek a hybrid-style approach to homeschooling.

THRIVE exists to enrich the homeschool experience by providing a supportive, engaging environment where K-8 students can grow academically, socially, and emotionally. We partner with families to supplement their chosen curriculum through collaborative learning, hands-on projects, and individualized support, helping every child thrive in their own unique way.
Our Philosophy
At THRIVE, we believe that the best learning happens when children feel connected, supported, and valued. Our enrichment program is built on the understanding that every child is unique, and their education should reflect that. We respect that families know their children best and honor the educational choices they've made. By combining hands-on learning, socialization, and personalized support, we aim to create a positive, engaging experience that complements and enhances each family’s homeschool journey.

THRIVE is a 3-hour, drop-off enrichment program that starts at 8:30 and ends at 11:30.
- The Sunbeams cohort meets on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
- The Sprouts cohort meets on Wednesdays and Fridays.

Most unit studies at THRIVE feature topic-related presenters, guests, artifacts, and/or virtual field trips to enrich the learning experience.

Our program is designed for students in grades K-8 to regularly come together for learning, socializing, and fun! Each cohort is run by a head teacher, a classroom aide, and has no more than 10 students.

THRIVE is open to students in grades K-8. Each cohort includes students of mixed ages, and the teachers split students into groups when the work needs to be differentiated. We accept a total of 20 students: 10 in the Sunbeams cohort and 10 in the Sprouts cohort.

Community-Focused Mornings
Our days begin with a Special (art, music, library, etc.), supporting student growth beyond academics.
Unit Studies with Diverse Focus Areas
The high-interest topics for our whole-group unit studies are customized to meet the unique academic needs of each individual.
Independent Work Time
Each day, your child is welcome to bring assignments from their home curriculum to complete during this time, whether they need extra support on something or simply have some unfinished coursework. Students can also elect to have us work with them to design an independent study project on a topic of their choice.

No. We provide academic enrichment and support to homeschooling students and families. All students (aged 6 or older) who register with our program must send a letter of intent to the state to be recognized as homeschoolers. Families independently choose and purchase their curriculum, and track student progress for end-of-year reporting.
Yes! In the 2026-2027 school year, tuition is full price for the first student, and 5% off the full price for each sibling.
No. We are not classified by the state as an entity that is required to mandate vaccinations.
Because we are trying to build a community of learners who share common experiences, we only offer the two days/per week tuition option.
The two cohorts will be doing the same activities, just on different days! We heard from the community that many people would like Wednesdays and Fridays, so we opened a second cohort!
